Events Manager

Phoebe Mullis

Phoebe Mullis is the Associate Director of Activations and Logistics for Downtown Vision. She manages the planning and production of First Wednesday Art Walk. She also supports other DVI events and activations, including PlacemakingJax projects, to enhance the Downtown street-level environment and increase foot traffic.

Growing up in Jacksonville Beach, Phoebe learned the importance of community involvement through volunteering at beach cleanups, attending events like The Donna 5k race and Dancin’ in the Streets, and identifying a sense of place through local retail, restaurants and other gathering spaces. These passive experiences have helped her transform from observing community building to leading a career in it with a passion for celebrating and sharing the stories of the people and places in Downtown Jacksonville. A storyteller at heart, Phoebe enjoys writing poetry, short stories, and journaling. She was recently selected to read her work at the JaxByJax Literature Festival.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in communication at The University of North Florida and an Associate Degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville. At FSCJ, she was selected as a writer for the Writers Retreat Workshop, and helped design the digital poster for a FSCJ produced musical, ‘Majigeen’, a story about Anna Kingsley, written by Jennifer Chase. During her time at UNF,  Phoebe was an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter, and served as President in 2021 and volunteered as a writer for the university’s magazine, Spinnaker.
