Spring is coming and Downtown Jacksonville is bursting with things to do! Smell the blooming flowers, and attend one of the many events in the heart of #DTJax. From a daring circus showcase to immersive art experiences and music festivals, there’s something for everyone this spring! 

Cirque du Soleil: Corteo

Looking for a sight to entertain the family and shock the senses? Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo will lead you down a path of excitement while immersing you in the carnival atmosphere. Be prepared to laugh and create memories this spring with an exhilarating show that’s perfect for the entire family. Here for a limited time, attend one of the five shows at the VyStar VeteransMemorial Arena between March 7th – 10th. 

Jax River Jams Presented by Vystar Credit Union

Jax River Jams Presented by VyStar Credit Union is back and better than ever! This annual music festival has won the hearts of Downtown through culture, music and community for four years straight. Set on the sparkling St. Johns River at a new location, Ford on Bay (288 E. Bay St.) this event will take place each Thursday of April. No matter your music taste- pop, country or hip-hop, this concert series will feature performances from all genres for all ages. Come early to catch the local talent while indulging in local spirits, food trucks and more!  

Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience

Want to go beyond viewing art and become part of the masterpiece? This immersive exhibition featuring works by legendary Claude Monet is for you! What better way to bring in spring than to be amongst the iconic Monet blooms in the heart of #DTJax? This vibrant gallery will run for all of spring at the NoCo Center and is the perfect event to spice up your spring! 

Woofstock Music Festival Presented by VyStar Credit Union

Grab that leash, your four legged friend and your favorite tie-dye threads because Woofstock is back! This all ages, free music festival features something most festivals lack- a dog-friendly atmosphere. Held at beloved Kanine Social, the fun takes place on April 13th and will feature live music, delicious food trucks and cold beers. Come to Woofstock 2024 to party with your pet and enjoy the lively atmosphere #DTJax has to offer.

There’s always something happening at the Cummer! Attend the Spring Garden Concert  on March 16th to bask in the starlight and get your groove on with local band, Honey Hounds. Looking for ways to keep your children entertained during spring break? The Cummer is offering multiple events during March to help children continue learning in creative ways. Attend an embroidery class  or interactive storytelling event  with your family on March 20th to let the imagination flow. The following day, March 21st, The Cummer is celebrating Women’s History Month with the Women Makers Market that will feature talented artists, designers and business owners.

Join Downtown for an unforgettable celebration of artistry and imagination while witnessing incredible chalk artists transform pavement into masterpieces! This festival is more than just art – it’s a community celebration! Connect with fellow art enthusiasts and creatives while enjoying the “Best Art Festival” of 2023 per Jacksonville Magazine readers on March 30th at historic James Weldon Johnson Park.
