#ArtWalkJax Artist Highlight: Garbage Pony Pop Art

Author: Alexa Andino, Downtown Vision Marketing and Events Intern

Meet the Artist: Garbage Pony Pop Art

Medium: Acrylic on canvas and on plant pots depicting vibrant and fun designs that typically pay homage to pop culture. Unique designs on shirts, stickers, and pins.

Highlight: Garbage Pony Pop Art is a new #ArtWalk vendor that we are excited to have with us for October’s First Wednesday Art Walk!

Garbage Pony’s Art plays on the nostalgia of popular 90s and early 2000s TV shows such as Rugrats and Hey Arnold. She also incorporates modern pop culture such as Bobs Burgers and The Simpsons. The art could pass for official art of these various shows because they are so well done.

Garbage Pony Pop Art is a frequent vendor of the Riverside Arts Market, which occurs every Saturday. Check out Garbage Pony’s art at RAM and be sure to join us at Art Walk in James Weldon Johnson Park and stop by Garbage Pony Pop Art’s booth.
