Downtown Vision (DVI), Downtown Jacksonville’s non-profit Business Improvement District (BID) announced the 11th annual DTJax Award Winners. The DTJax Awards recognize community leaders, organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs who in 2025 worked to create a vibrant and dynamic 24-hour, pedestrian friendly Downtown. Award winners are not only excellent advocates for Downtown, but have also shown their dedication by supporting economic revitalization efforts, creating jobs, operating beloved amenities, and maintaining a clean and safe DTJax.

DTJax Awards 2025: Small Business of the Year | The Greenhouse & Bar

The Greenhouse & Bar is a beloved local business in Downtown Jacksonville. Founded in 2022 by owner Lauren Henry, The Greenhouse is widely regarded as the ultimate “third space”—a welcoming environment beyond home and work. It offers a diverse array of experiences, including an eclectic wine selection, mouthwatering coffee, and an abundance of plants and pottery.

As one of the first small businesses to open in the Brooklyn area during that time, The Greenhouse proudly helped pave the way for other local entrepreneurs to follow. Amid the rise of large corporations and apartment developments, it emerged as a beautiful local oasis, inviting people from all walks of life to enjoy its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. The Greenhouse has also been recognized as a safe and affirming space within the LGBTQ+ community.

Nestled near the Riverwalk at 200 Riverside Ave, Unit 2, and just steps from the Riverside Arts Market, The Greenhouse & Bar has secured a special place in the hearts of many locals, restoring vitality and a renewed sense of excitement to the surrounding community.

Winners were celebrated on November 13, 2025 at The Lark in Downtown Jacksonville. The 2025 DTJax Awards were made possible by First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, VyStar Credit Union, Steve & Betsy Crosby, the Downtown Investment Authority and Visit Jacksonville.
