The Florida Theatre is currently undergoing improvements in its Centennial Campaign to prepare the Theatre for its 100th Year Celebration in 2027. This round of renovations includes repairing decorative plaster, painting, replacement of the ventilation and air conditioning system and renovating the restrooms.
Previous renovations include: replacing theatre seats, doubling the wheelchair seating capacity, a new assistive listening system for the hard of hearing, improved aisle lighting and handrails, an upgraded concert sound and lighting system, and the opening of the Remedy Lounge – the first expansion of the venue’s public space in 95 years.
The Florida Theatre will reopen for shows onsite with The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 28.
