Time for a break: step outside, stroll to the river and soak in a moment at Riverfront Plaza.
Riverfront Plaza is Downtown’s newest riverfront park, designed by Perkins&Will and with Northeast Florida’s natural landscape front and center. Native trees and plantings ground the space in local ecology while quickly building shade and canopy along the park’s walking route.
Open lawns, winding pathways and tree coverage echo the St. Johns River and the region’s natural plant communities, creating a relaxed place to reset during a midday break or spend a laid-back weekend outing with the kids.
Looking ahead, Phase II features (think rain gardens!) will reflect local wetland systems, managing stormwater naturally and deepening the connection to the river’s historic floodplain. A true breath of fresh air in the heart of DTJax!
