Progress is underway at the Emerald Trail’s LaVilla Link in front of the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center!
The first phase of the Emerald Trail will be 1.3 miles long, connecting Brooklyn to LaVilla and the S-Line Rail Link. It will feature a 14-foot wide concrete pedestrian/bicycle trail designed for active and passive recreation, abundant shade trees and native plantings. The Link will honor the historic LaVilla neighborhood through wayfinding, storyboards and public art installations. Additionally, it will include several signature points of interest such as the Park Street Bridge, Lee Street Pond, Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park and the Florida C. Dwight Memorial Playground.
The Link is set to be completed in early 2024.
