DVI Updates
DVI’s Quarterly Stakeholder Meeting Next Week:
Mark your calendars to join Downtown Vision, Inc. for the next Downtown Stakeholders Meeting. Our featured speaker at this quarter’s meeting is Mayor Lenny Curry. He will discuss the pension referendum that will appear on the ballot August 30. The meeting is Tuesday, July 26 at 8:30 a.m. in the 1st Floor Training Room in the Ed Ball Building.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the many things happening Downtown. To attend, contact Jennifer Hewett-Apperson at (904)634-0303 ext. 224 or Jennifer@dtjax.com.
We Have an App! #DTJax
Our new app, #DTJax, is now available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play. It’s the best way to know what is going on, with a full list of our events, things to do and places to eat and drink. The app also provides information that can be found on our website including parking, hotel options and various directories.

Downtown Event Signage:
Special Events has updated its signage & banner application to be more inclusive. Anyone wanting to put up street pole banners, lay down side walk stickers, spray chalk, or any other things will need to have the “Special Event Signs” application filled out. The application is on the City of Jacksonville’s website under “permits,” or can be found here.
St. John’s River Taxi and Tours:
With the warmer, summer weather here to stay for awhile, enjoy it on the water with the St. John’s River Taxi! The River Taxi is now available for eco tours, Jacksonville Zoo trips and sunset river cruises.
Running every thirty minutes, the River Taxi stops at the Northbank Riverwalk at The Landing, the Southbank at Friendship Fountain, Southbank at the The Doubletree Hotel, Southbank Riverwalk at The Lexington Hotel and at Metropolitan Park during special events. For more information, visit their website here and buy your tickets today!
