RiversEdge Park is officially open!
Yesterday’s ribbon cutting marked a major moment for the Southbank as the City of Jacksonville opened RiversEdge Park, the first phase of a larger vision transforming the riverfront into a connected and active destination.
The new space brings four parks in one, featuring walking paths, a marsh boardwalk, an outdoor gym, open green space and a dedicated yoga lawn. It also extends the Riverwalk, creating a seamless connection to Friendship Fountain.
This opening sets the stage for a future mixed-use neighborhood with homes, shops, restaurants, offices, a marina, and even more riverfront parks. Plus, it joins several other major improvement projects underway along the river, including the revitalized Metropolitan Park, the new Music Heritage Garden and Riverfront Plaza.
