Located on Laura Street, Chamblin’s Uptown is one of many people’s favorite coffee stops here in Downtown Jacksonville, including myself. The menu features a wide variety of warm and chilled options, ranging from coffee and tea all the way to espresso. After picking up your coffee you are greeted with rows upon rows of endless book shelves to explore. Grab a classic or something new and chill out in the cafe reading and sipping away. Don’t forget to try out their ever-changing soup options as well (my favorite is the corn chowder).  At Chamblin’s Uptown, there truly is something for everyone!

Next up is The Greenhouse & Bar. The Greenhouse & Bar is situated on Riverside Avenue, just steps away from Downtown’s gorgeous Riverwalk. After ordering, take time to browse their extensive collection of houseplants, all of which are available for purchase. The Greenhouse isn’t just known for its wondrous coffee and plants; it also has an ambiance that’s unmatched for a weekly catch-up with friends or a chill workspace to study and relax.

Closer to City Center, Setlan Coffee Co. offers thoughtfully crafted coffee and seasonal treats Nestled inside the Museum of Contemporary Arts on Laura Street, you’ll find Setlan. Oftentimes, their café menu features fun, seasonal coffees and pastries alike. You won’t go wrong ordering your classic favorites either (my go-to is an iced oat milk latte with lavender syrup—yum!).

Continuing on, another exciting stop is the Jacksonville Coffee Co. located at 6 E.. Bay St. Founded in 2023, Jacksonville Coffee Co. has quickly become a favorite among downtown locals. The downtown location opened this past year and is their third location across Jacksonville. Being directly connected with coffee farms in El Salvador shows a commitment to bringing bold and quality coffee straight to your cup. Even if you’re not in the mood for coffee yet but still want a yummy bev, you’re in luck! Try out a matcha lemonade or hot cocoa instead, and don’t forget to pick up a pastry or a Cinotti’s lunch item from the cold case, too!

Next up, we have Urban Grind Coffee Co. featuring locally roasted coffee, Urban Grind never disappoints. My go-to order is the famous chicken salad wrap and fresh sliced fruit. Also accompanied by a lovely lavender oatmilk iced latte. I suggest adding a house-baked pastry, too. With great sugar-free options and protein-packed choices like the “Health Nut Smoothie” you can find exactly what you want here, regardless of whether it’s a cheat day or not!

Furthermore, The Cady Club is a timeless, versatile coffee shop. You can choose from menu options like the honey salted fig latte. My personal favorite is the rose almond mint matcha—a perfectly blended, aromatic experience. There’s something for every moment: after a day at the office, you should pop back in for a relaxing glass of wine or a crisp, cool beer. From the team behind The Lark, The Cady Club is nothing short of exceptional and a must-try stop on your weekly coffee run.
