New Businesses Coming to Downtown Jacksonville
Something we love about #DTJax is the fact that it’s constantly evolving and improving in so many different ways. There’s always a new project in the works with the mission of creating a more vibrant downtown in mind. Today, we wanted to share some of the exciting new businesses that will be making their debut in the near future. There’s lots to look forward to!
Mosh 2.0
The Museum of Science and History is planning a $80 million dollar renovation which will expand the entire facility from 77,000 square feet to 120,000. The entrance will be reoriented to face the St. Johns River, and the entire facility will be updated to become even more state of the art. A cafe will be added to the MOSH, along with a rooftop conference center and an event space along with innovative labs and interactive displays.
Bento Asian Cafe
Enjoy classic Pan-Asian dishes along with a wide variety of fresh sushi in the Brooklyn shopping center (coming soon). There are already two locations in Jacksonville, one on the Southside and one at the St. John’s Town Center.
Panera Bread Company
Grab a quick meal from Panera, a nation-wide bakery-café that is best known for their pastries, bagels, and soups and salads. Coming soon.
Chop Barbershop
In need of a haircut? Chop Barbershop is now open and booking haircuts for ladies and gents and kids. Enjoy a cold drink while you wait!
Bagels R Us
A little bit of New York is being brought to #DTJax with scratch-baked bagels and home-made breakfast sandwiches.
The Bread and Board Provisions
The highly coveted restaurant best known for their freshly baked artisan breads and meats and is coming to #DTJax in the fall! It will be located at the Vystar Credit Union’s Headquarters.
Ruby Beach Brewing
Ruby Beach Brewing is coming to #DTJax and will occupy the vacant, historic building on E. Forsyth St. They started brewing their craft beer back in May, but this taproom will not be open to the public until later this month.
Underbelly
Underbelly is coming back to #DTJax on E. Bay Street! Nightlife will be reintroduced to the spot Underbelly previously occupied with local bands and craft beer, wine, and cocktails. There will also be a new food menu.
