The #DTJax Awards recognize community leaders, organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs who in 2022 worked to create a vibrant and dynamic 24-hour, pedestrian friendly Downtown. Award winners are not only excellent advocates for Downtown, but have also shown their dedication by supporting economic revitalization efforts, creating jobs, operating beloved amenities, and maintaining a clean and safe #DTJax.
Small Business of the Year: Wolf & Cub
Located in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville, Wolf & Cub holds some of the best thrift finds in Jacksonville. Beyond its vintage collection, Wolf & Cub offers patrons an array of items, ranging from natural personal care to an in-house collection of screen printed tees. Originally established as a lifestyle brand and concept shop, Wolf & Cub has grown tremendously and strives to bring joy to customers. Emily Moody, one of the visionaries and owners of Wolf & Cub, is deeply involved in Jacksonville’s creative and cultural scene. Moody has been involved in creating many beloved businesses and experiences in Jacksonville, including former 5 Points Boutique, Anomaly, Underbelly and “First Friday” in 5 Points.
This award recognizes a street-level retailer who has enhanced the Downtown experience for everyone living, working and visiting DTJax.
“Our mission at Downtown Vision is to create and support a vibrant Downtown and to promote Downtown as an exciting place to live, work, visit and invest,” said Jake Gordon, CEO of Downtown Vision. “We’re excited to be back again this year to recognize those who embody this same mission working hard to make DTJax great.”
