Join us on June 16th from 5-9 p.m. on the Brooklyn Riverwalk (between Haskell and FIS). If you own a boat, pull up to the public dock right behind Winston Family YMCA
Inspired by
Downtown Vision, Inc. famous monthly Sip n’ Stroll event, this riverfront activation is for families to enjoy the scenic views of the St. Johns River, great music and food and drink and a kids playground. Guests will park at the Winston Family YMCA at 221 Riverside Ave.
This special placemaking activation is by Jax’s beloved local hip-hop crew L.O.V.E. Culture: Consisting of members Che, Rob Mari, Easyin2D, Flash, the Samurai, Spirit, DJ Larry Love managed by Torrence Jones.
L.O.V.E Culture is an acronym for a League Of Vibrant Energies and they incite exactly what their names says, Love. The curation will pay homage to authentic local creators, tastemakers, musicians, and artists. Why the riverfront? The trail is the spinal cord and connective tissue of the City of Jax, a city of neighborhoods. The Brooklyn Riverwalk has seen enormous change over the years with additional future development on the horizon.
Now is the time to activate the trail and inspire increased use and activity!
