About the 2023 Project:

Led by a videographer and photography crew from Moncrief, the team endeavored to change the narrative of their beloved neighborhood and open a podcast and photography studio in a vacant storefront.

In the Fall of 2023, the team received keys to 211 North Laura and transformed an abandoned place into a high-end studio to capture the Moncrief story. The space now had life.

Their project was meant to celebrate and highlight the vast array of local Jax photographers and to invite the public to model under their professional lighting and art backgrounds. Content creators, photographers, videographers, fashionistas, models, and bloggers all showed up throughout the six-month lease to activate the space.

The Moncrief team brought new life to the 200 Block of Laura Street and opened their doors to Duval County to pop in and get shot. The project was so successful the team was hired as the official documentarians of PlacemakingJax under the leadership of Mr. Al Pete and was invited to PHX JAX to be a signature resident artist.
