ALDI Supermarket

About

Aldi is expected to open Downtown by 2026 and in preparation, the city is reviewing renovation permits – and now has issued permits for three signs that will show the German discount grocer’s name and logo.

Prime Sign Installation LLC of Jacksonville is the contractor for the three sign permits, submitted Sept. 19 and issued Sept. 22, at a project cost of $6,400 at the former Harveys Supermarket at 777 N. Market St.

Work on the conversion has been underway.

On Aug. 26, the city issued a permit for M.E. Construction Inc. of Melbourne to demolish some portions of the interior and exterior of the building at a project cost of $183,245. That followed a permit Aug. 18 for landscape and site work at $160,000.
