The Pop-Out was a vibrant Black Music Month concert series held at Jacksonville’s historic Lift Ev’ry Voice & Sing Park. Taking place on Sundays in June, the series celebrated Black artistry, community, and the enduring power of music while honoring the legacy of James Weldon Johnson and the cultural heartbeat of LaVilla.
Each evening featured energetic performances from local and regional talent — including DJs Teezy McGrady, Lunaxcel, and WizKidd of 93.3 The Beat/iHeart; bands Neo-Radio, Dats Pressure, and the Bobby Wintons Trio; and artists such as Broadway Louie, Kenzie, Jeff Skigh, King Ca$hes, Twicee, Kale James, and Ebonique.
Families and friends filled the park with lawn chairs, dancing, and joy as soulful sounds carried through the summer air. The free, all-ages event was curated by Larry Love and Love Creates, and presented by PlacemakingJax, VyStar Credit Union, Vibrant Places Collective, and Jax Parks.
