When Friendship Fountain opened in 1965, it was the world’s largest and tallest fountain. Accentuated by colored lights, the fountain could spray 17,000 gallons of water a minute up to 120 feet.
Although Stage One of renovations are not set to be finished until the summer, Friendship Fountain took life and exploded with teal during Saturday’s Jaguars game against the Chargers. We are eagerly awaiting the projects’ finish and cannot wait to see what is in store next for one of Downtown’s most beloved landmarks.
