It’s October and the fall season has finally arrived in Downtown Jacksonville! With Halloween right around the corner, there are a plethora of events that are perfect for celebrating the fall season and holidays. Whether you’re searching for a costume contest or fall themed crafts, there are seasonal events and activities fit for everyone in #DTJax!

All Them Witches at Intuition Ale Works

Looking for live music during #DTJax’s fall? Then check out All Them Witches performing at  Intuition Ale Works on Friday, October 20th! This hard rock quartet will be accompanied by GA-20 and Special Child for special appearances! Enjoy live music and drinks from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Intuition Ale Works.

Pumpkin Carving with Kanine Social

Kick off the Halloween festivities by testing your pumpkin carving skills with Kanine Social on Friday, October 20th! Pumpkin carving begins at 6 p.m. so make sure to arrive early to join in and potentially win their carving contest. The contest judging begins at 8 p.m. and the scariest, most creative and best overall pumpkin carvings will be awarded!

Monster Mash Costume Party at The Greenhouse & Bar

Looking for a costume contest? Well, The Greenhouse & Bar has got you covered as they’ll be throwing their Monster Mash Costume Party on Saturday, October 21st! Partnering with @hushhushjax, there will be music and drinks from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Don’t forget to go all out with your costume for a chance to win a prize for best dressed!

A Musical Harvest at St. John’s Cathedral

2nd Annual Nightmare on Bay Street

The spookiest event in #DTJax is back for its second year! Nightmare on Bay Street is making its return on Sunday, October 29th from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. This costume carnival will have vendors, food trucks, carnival games, a costume contest and silent disco! 

Midday Day in the Garden of Good and Evil at James Weldon Johnson Park

If you’re searching for a day of Halloween celebration then look no further! James Weldon Johnson Park is throwing “Midday in the Garden of Good and Evil”, a free event happening on Tuesday, October 31st. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., join James Weldon Johnson Park for lunch, treats, ghoulish decorations and loads of activities!

First Wednesday Art Walk

Come out to First Wednesday Art Walk during #DTJax’s fall season! This #DTJax event happens every first Wednesday of the month. Come and enjoy live music, local vendors and artists, food trucks and much more! The next First Wednesday Art Walk is taking place on Wednesday, November 1st from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair

The fair is coming back to Downtown and is right in time for fall! Visit the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair any day from November 2nd to November 12th.
