Events are back in Downtown Jacksonville and this weekend will be a busy one. With Jacksonville Jazz Fest, Jazz Fest After Dark and the opening weekend for Hamilton at the Times Union Center, there is a lot going on in #DTJax this weekend (9/30 – 10/3). If you are planning to come out for Jazz Fest this year, or will be in the Downtown area this weekend (9/30 – 10/3), please be sure to take note of the following road closures, alternate modes of transportation and other important information!
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed this weekend and will reopen on Tuesday, October 5th:
- Hogan Street from Water Street to the Riverwalk.
- Independent Drive from Hogan Street to Laura Street.
- Liberty Street from Bay Street to the Riverwalk (Berkman residents and guests can access via Bay Street).
- Water Street from Pearl Street to Hogan Street (Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts and Hotel guests can access via Pearl Street).
- Hogan Street from Bay Street to Riverwalk (VyStar parking garage access via Bay Street).
- Laura Street from Bay Street to Independent Drive (Wells-Fargo parking garage access from Bay Street)
- Independent Drive from Hogan Street to Newnan Street
- Main Street Bridge northbound exit ramp to Independent Drive (Main Street Bridge northbound to remain open with access to Ocean Street)
- Southernmost lane of Bay Street from Hogan Street to Catherine Street

Parking Information
If you’re planning on driving to and from Downtown Jacksonville this weekend and are looking for places to park, we highly recommend checking out the parking map at dtjax.com/parking.
It is important to note that some street parking will be suspended during this upcoming weekend. The following streets will not have street parking available:
- Hogan Street from Bay Street to the Riverwalk
- Liberty Street from Bay Street to the Riverwalk
- Independent Drive from Hogan Street to Main Street Bridge
- Newnan Street from Bay Street to Independent Drive
- Market Street from Bay Street to Courthouse Drive
- Laura Street from Independent Drive to Bay Street
- Bay Street from Hogan Street to Catherine Street
- Newnan Street from Bay Street to the Riverwalk

Alternate Modes of Transportation
Make traveling to and from Downtown Jacksonville a breeze this weekend and check out the various shuttle services, public transportation and water taxis in our area. We recommend booking a ride with Go Tuk’n, riding the Skyway with JTA Transportation, or utilizing the St Johns River Taxi.
Skyway Hours:
Friday, October 1: 6 a.m. to Midnight
Saturday, October 2: 1 p.m. to Midnight
Sunday, October 3: 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
