Ten Across (10X) is an initiative of Arizona State University that brings together communities along the Interstate 10 to address the most urgent issues of our time. Convergence bring together the regional 10X networks-including Chief Resilience Officers, CEOs of Community Foundations incorporating resilience into their strategic philanthropy, educators advancing career readiness with place-based learning, and the private sector leaders contributing strategies for sustainable growth amid economic challenges. Day one features inspiring conversations with audience participation and focused workshops culminating in on day two with a collaborative workshop dedicated to co-developing resilience pathways toward insurable communities. Why Insurability?
Insurability is a critical concern for the 10X region, with increasing catastrophic events and decreasing infrastructure investment the financial stability of our nation’s most vulnerable communities is increasingly at risk. Without viable insurance options, communities are facing mounting uncertainty, and entire neighborhoods may become un-investable. By coming together across sectors to address these challenges- through nature-based solutions, innovative infrastructure investments, and novel insurance models- we can unlock new opportunities for resilience and economic growth for all people, throughout the region.
