Breakfast Around the World

About

A community pop-up brunch showcasing Jacksonville's unique food culture.

For Part II of Breakfast Around the World we’re transforming one of historic Lavilla’s last remaining historic buildings, the Pratt, into a pop-up brunch highlighting the diverse cuisines of this city.

We’ll start the morning with a traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, and sit down for a brunch featuring breakfast cuisines of Africa, Latin America and beyond. Bring your travellers spirit, because you’re going to try something new and delicious.

The Pratt Funeral Home was built in 1916 by self taught African American architect Joseph Haygood Blodgett, and is one of the last standing commercial buildings Blodgett designed in the city.

Just a block from historic LaVilla’s culture, entertainment and business corridors and just across the street from Old Stanton, we’re imagining a future that builds from LaVilla’s vibrant past. What if Broad Street once again nurtured small businesses? What if Ashley Street was full of food and music again?

Only events occurring within Downtown Jacksonville will be accepted.
