INAUGURAL FOOD FIGHT JAX PITS BEACHES VS. TOWN CHEFS IN HEAD-TO-HEAD COOKING SHOWDOWN BENEFITING CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM AT SULZBACHER

Jacksonville’s top restaurants are gearing up for the inaugural Food Fight Jax, where Team Beach and Team Town chefs will compete in three high-energy 15 minute-rounds with two chefs facing off to create two complete entrees using two surprise proteins revealed moments before the event begins. While only one team will be crowned the champion, the night’s clear winner is Sulzbacher’s Culinary Arts Program.
Food Fight Jax, benefiting Sulzbacher’s job training program– is Tuesday, March 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. inside the grand lobby at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

Guests will be able to watch the action in real time as the teams heat up in two commercial kitchens constructed inside a boxing ring, with American Culinary Federation-certified judges on stage to evaluate each round.

Beyond the ring, dozens of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants, including Marker 32, Palm Valley Fish Camp, 14 Prime and Blue Bamboo Canton Bistro, as weak as caterers and private chefs are serving signature samples to guests, in a ringside competition for the People’s Choice Award. The event also includes music, open bars, live auction, 360 photo booth and more.
The live auction items include a week’s stay in luxury condo in the Florida Keys, dinner for four at The Buoy and a sunset helicopter ride in the JSO chopper.
