Great Cities Symposium by Scenic Jacksonville

About

Scenic Jacksonville welcomes former Procter & Gamble (PG) CEO AG Lafley as guest speaker for its fourth annual Great Cities Symposium on Wednesday, October 4th from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the Garden Club of Jacksonville.

The event’s evening activities will begin with a cocktail social hour from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. featuring beer, wine, a signature cocktail, and hors d’oeuvres from Biscottis. The program will be held from 6:15 – 7:30 to include remarks from Lafley, discussion and Q & A. Desserts and cocktails will be served from 7:30 – 8 p.m.

Mayor Donna Deegan is scheduled to introduce our speaker and civic and business leaders in attendance.

Lafley is the highly respected and transformational former CEO and Chairman of the global consumer goods company PG. Under his leadership, PG became one of the world’s most admired and valuable companies in the world, and he has been honored with some of the highest awards in business, including “CEO of the Year.”

While in Cincinnati, he also founded and served as Board Chair of Cincinnati Center City Development (3CDC), which partnered with the City of Cincinnati for the renewal and redevelopment of their downtown.

He then moved to Sarasota and became the founding CEO of The Bay Park Conservancy, which is creating a $200 million-dollar, 50+ acre, beautifully designed and delightfully programmed signature bayfront public park. The park’s 10-acre Phase I opened in 2022. Lafley is currently an owner, advisor and board member involved with startups, early-stage businesses, and private equity investments.
