Holiday Cooking Class at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville

Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is hosting a holiday cooking class on Sunday, December 3 between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. During the event, attendees will work with Chef Mimi Lan to create a bánh mì charcuterie board ideal for any size of holiday party, from a large crowd to an intimate gathering.
Participants will learn how to make Char siu, a Cantonese-style barbecued pork from Guandong, as well as a Vietnamese lemongrass chicken, Vietnamese pickled daikon and carrots, fried vegetarian crackers, complete with a special bánh mì sauce. Chef Mimi will also teach the art of plating a charcuterie board including composition, placement, and garnishes. Additionally, guests will receive a gift bag with cooked char sui BBQ pork, cooked lemongrass chicken, marinades of both to replicate the dishes at home, bánh mì sauce, recipes of the dishes, and resources of where to get the ingredients.
Chef Mimi is a local Jacksonville chef who also travels to curate thoughtful dining experiences that showcase her culture and connects people through the art of food. She has worked in multiple Michelin Star restaurants around the world including Per Se in New York City and Gaggans in Bangkok.
The cooking class will take place on Sunday, December 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is $100 per person.
