September’s First Wednesday Art Walk

Enjoy the beautiful artwork on display in James Weldon Johnson Park! Grab dinner and drinks at Ocean Street Tacos & Tequila or Bellwether. Get creative by making Wind Chimes with Superfood & Brew or listen to Stand-Up Comedy at Justice Pub. There are so many fun activities and places to explore for all ages!

 

Sea Glass Wind Chime Making Superfood & Brew 

Get creative while learning how to create Sea Glass Wind Chimes from 6-8 p.m.! Register here for the class, but be early- the first four participants get in free! Enjoy a variety of fresh foods such as poke bowls, salads and sandwiches at Superfood & Brew.

 

904 Day Silent Disco & Fireworks Navy Pier Celebration

Have fun dancing at Silent Disco on the Navy Pier! Grab some food at vendor tent, Jenn’s Local Kitchen, and drinks from the Manifest Distilling bar while enjoying the river front view.
At 9:04 p.m. sit down with your friends and family and enjoy the fireworks!

Walk through the Jax Chamber Evening Market and shop different local vendors, foods and drinks!


Mural Ceremony Celebrating Unity and Diversity in Jax
8 Independent Dr. | 6 p.m.

Join the City of Jacksonville, United Way of Northeast Florida and JEA on 904 Day for the unveiling of Downtown’s latest mural by local artists Christopher Clark and Tatiana Kitchen.
This Unity Mural, commissioned as part of MLK Week of Service, symbolizes the importance of unity and understanding following the racially motivated shooting in New Town.

89 Los Originals/Jaguars Collaboration Merchandise Drop

Miller Electric Center Pro Shop9:04 a.m.

Head to Miller Electric Center to purchase a limited-edition 89 Los Originals Jaguars-branded shirt and meet the designer behind the label, Carlos Foster. This will be the first merchandise drop for the collaboration, “Since ’95: A Premium Collection for the Premium Fan.” Watch the season release video and get excited for the 1995 inaugural season!

Located in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville, The Museum of Contemporary Art showcases different kinds of artists and collections! Sign up for a hands-on class or just browse around the museum. Enjoy a cup of coffee and/or pastry at Setlan Coffee Co., then head upstairs to explore the museum’s exhibits. Starship Abundance, Fill My Heart With Hope, Voices of Moncrief and Project Atrium are among the amazing exhibits within the museum!
