904 Day is a celebration of all things Downtown Jacksonville. We’ve rounded up ways to show your #DTJax pride – from classic events to shopping local.
Downtown Events Taking Place
Nothing screams DTJax like First Wednesday Art Walk. This 904 Day happens to fall a few days after this month’s Art Walk, so start your celebration two days early by shopping from local vendors, enjoying the arts and live music performances, enjoying the arts and live music performances, starting in James Weldon Johnson Park and heading down Laura Street.
After Hours at James Weldon Park
On the day itself, drop by James Weldon Johnson Park once again for their 904-themed “After Hours” gathering. It is the ideal way to kick off your weekend festivities. Grab a beverage and enjoy the open air from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. while you sample local food trucks and dance to musical performances.
Enjoy breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. with local leaders at the VyStar Tower for “904 Day Breakfast”. Show your support for the organizations driving our community forward and strengthening Downtown Jacksonville.
Shops and Businesses to Visit
Pay a visit to the recently reopened Wolf & Cub on Church Street. It is a must-visit destination for unique trinkets and essential Jacksonville game day merch. Browse everything from local artist collaborations to one-of-a-kind Jaguars gear.
Satisfy your sweet tooth at the largest candy mansion in the Southeast at Sweet Pete’s Candy Emporium. Visit all three floors for chocolates, sodas and candies made on-site.
Lose yourself within the infinite rows of pre-loved books at Chamblin’s Uptown, where you can browse the shelves, latte in hand. With more than 100,000 titles, you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for and more.
Ruby Beach Brewing Co. : Feel Good Friday
Show your support for local vendors and farmers markets by visiting the Feel Good Friday Market. This weekly gathering is held at Ruby Beach Brewing Co. every Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
