Downtown Vision's Signature Events & Programs
First Wednesday Art Walk
Bring your family, friends and coworkers for a self-guided tour of the galleries, businesses and restaurants of Downtown’s City-Center on the First Wednesday of every month, rain or shine! Browse works by local artists, enjoy live music from local bands, and grab a bite to eat or a drink in James Weldon Johnson Park.
Third Thursday Sip & Stroll Presented by PNC Bank
Enjoy a stroll along the stunning Southbank Riverwalk every Third Thursday of the month, with beautiful views stretching from Friendship Fountain to Chart House. Take in live music, food trucks and carts, riverside bars, and a relaxed picnic area — all set against a picturesque sunset backdrop.
PlacemakingJax Presented by VyStar Credit Union is Downtown Vision’s activations initiative, turning underused spaces into vibrant community spots, one project at a time. Through an open call for ideas and a hands-on placemaking school, the program puts the power in residents’ hands, letting citizens shape the DTJax they want to see.

DTJax isn’t just where you live, it’s where the action is. Cheer on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at VyStar Ballpark for a classic night of minor league baseball, or catch the energy of the Jacksonville Waves, the city’s newest pro basketball team. Come fall, EverBank Stadium turns Downtown into a sea of teal and black on Jaguars gameday, with tailgates and Riverwalk crowds to match.

Parks & Riverfront
Downtown Jacksonville is greener than you might think. With over 70 acres of parks and public green space woven through the urban core and more coming online every year, residents don’t have to leave the neighborhood to find a place to breathe.
Start at the Riverfront Music Garden, Downtown’s newest gathering spot along the St. Johns River, or head to Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park in LaVilla, a green anchor for one of Downtown’s most historic neighborhoods. Add in the Northbank Riverwalk and pocket parks scattered throughout the district, and Downtown living starts to look a lot more like a walk in the park — literally.

e-Scooters
- The City of Jacksonville launched a one-year pilot program for e-scooters. Locals and visitors alike can rent and ride electric scooters Downtown via smartphone applications.
- Scooters can be rented and dropped off between the hours of 5 a.m. – 12 a.m. at 37 designated, geofenced corrals on the sidewalk and out of the way of pedestrians, parked cars or other users.
- Riders pay $1.00 to unlock the scooters and $0.20 – $0.35 per minute to ride, depending on the vendor.
Jacksonville Transportation Authority
- Bus Service runs seven days a week. Real-time updates on the MyJTA App.
- First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit runs seven days a week to the Northside, Southside and Beaches. 10-minute peak-hour frequency & 15-minute off-peak-hour frequency.
- The Skyway (FREE) runs between the North and Southbanks weekdays from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. and during special events. Cars depart every 4-8 minutes.

Downtown Ambassadors, Downtown’s safety, hospitality and clean team, patrol Downtown seven days a week and are here to:
- Provide you with directions, maps and parking information
- Escort you to your destination

- Contact police or rescue during emergencies
- Call for medical assistance if you need it
- Share a smile and a watchful eye
